While some employees will be excited to return to working in person with their colleagues, there will be some that do not share the same enthusiasm. It is important that employers and leaders offer support and resources to help those employees cope and transition back to the workplace.

Coaching can help employees ease into the transition by exploring strategies to get back on track as quickly as possible, in a confidential and safe manner. Individualized return to work plans will be essential for at least some employees who are experiencing anxiety and fear.

Each company is unique, as are individuals, and the opportunity to address concerns in way that recognizes extra measures and offers additional support, for both leaders and employees, increases the chances of a successful return to work.
